Inspection Services

Rest Easy Home Inspections provides complete home inspection services according to the Home Inspection Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.

FULL HOME INSPECTION: $350.00

certified residential home inspector

A home is probably the biggest purchase you’ll ever make, so it’s important to understand the condition of your investment. I’ll provide a non-invasive evaluation of the home’s accessible structure, systems and components. While a home inspection can’t reveal every concern that exists, it will significantly reduce your anxiety by arming you with the knowledge you need to make an informed home-buying decision.

WDO TERMITE INSPECTION: $75.00

Certified WDO termite inspector

Wood-destroying insects can cause serious damage to the wooden structural components of a house. They can hide and go undetected for a long time, but there are many telltale signs for different species that indicate their presence. I’ll inspect your home for evidence of infestation now before it becomes an expensive problem later.

RADON GAS TEST: $150.00

radon tester internachi certified inspector

Although radon is a naturally occurring gas in our environment, it's also the second leading cause of lung cancer deaths in the U.S., according to the Surgeon General. One out of 15 homes is estimated to have dangerously elevated radon levels. The Surgeon General and the Environmental Protection Agency recommend testing all houses. Millions of Americans have had their homes tested for radon, and you should, too.

WATER QUALITY TESTS:

Basic (Coliform & E.coli) $100.00

Comprehensive (Coliform, E.coli, Lead, Nitrates, & Nitrites) $200

Certified Water Quality Tester

Let me test your potable water supply, especially if your property has a private well, cistern or septic system. I will check it for coliform and other harmful bacteria, which can endanger your family’s health.

SEPTIC DYE TEST: $175.00

InterNACHI Certified Septic Inspector

Dye is flushed down an operable toilet and an estimated amount of water is ran in sinks and bathtubs to flush the dye into the septic system.

Dye can identify certain kinds of septic failures, but not others. By itself a dye test is not indicative of overall condition of the system but can help identify possible issues. The probable locations of tank and absorption system are inspected before, during, and a few days after a dye test.
